SMEunited and UETR will organise a joint webinar to present the leaflet “Green best practices for transport SMEs and how the EU can support them”, drafted in cooperation with the EU LIFE Programme.
The webinar will take place online on 7th July 2022, from 9 am to 11 am.
Road transport plays a key role in achieving the aim of adapting to and mitigating climate change in the EU. Under the umbrella of the European Green Deal, the Efficient and Green Mobility Package of December 2021 is a milestone which aims at putting the transport sector on track to complying with the targets of the Paris agreement. SMEs are the main actors in the road transport sector. While some of them are clearly frontrunners when it comes to circularity, many still remain traditional SMEs with linear business models.
Embracing the green transition provides new opportunities and challenges for the traditional SMEs. They need information, guidance and technical assistance on how to embark on the sustainability journey.
This is why SMEunited and UETR started a cooperation with the EU LIFE Programme to gather a list of hands-on tips to facilitate the first steps of SMEs in the road transport sector towards becoming greener.
