UETR Secretary General Marco Digioia intervened at a joint web seminar on the Mobility Package jointly organised by MEP Mr. I. Ertug and ETF on 24 February 2021.

The event discussed the results of the recent Ricardo study on the potential environmental impact of the obligation for the vehicle to return to the MS of establishment every 8 weeks.

Mr. Digioia remarked that a number of structural shortcomings still exist in the EU Road haulage internal market and must be effectively addressed through the Package, whose provisions provide a balance of environmental and social progress, ensuring liberalisation going hand in hand with fair competition.
