02 Mar UETR Jury Member congratulates mowiz TRUCK Astigarraga and OnTurtle La Jonquera voted European Truck Parking of the Year 2023
On the 1st of March 2023, mowiz TRUCK Astigarraga (for large parking areas) and OnTurtle La Jonquera (for small parking category) won the 2nd edition of the ESPORG Excellence in Truck Parking Award, in recognition of their role in providing services to drivers and road transport companies.
Safe and secure parking areas play an essential role for all road haulers ensuring that goods continue to reach EU citizens and businesses.
As member of the Jury together with other private and public stakeholders UETR would like to thank all the parking areas who participated in this year’s Award process and to congratulate the winners and the Runner up Truck Etape Béziers.
“There is today a renewed awareness of the strategic importance of safe and secure parking areas to deliver social and environmental sustainability. The joint work with ESPORG and with all the other actors is true added value for a pragmatic approach to guide action in the future. The Award goes in the right direction to recognise parking areas’ role in supporting drivers and road hauliers and stimulate the development and performance of service providers for quality transport” said UETR Secretary General Marco Digioia.
