UETR is closely following the issue of late payments in road transport, a major issue causing one out of four bankruptcies in the European Union. UETR is member of the EU Payment Observatory, aimed at monitoring trends and developments on payments and providing relevant initiatives and issue-specific policy documents

At today’s webinar of the Observatory, Mrs Paseiro from UETR member FENADISMER intervened stressing that enforcing current legislation is key together with data collection for monitoring, She brought up the example of Spain’s law and claims and enforcement regime which is proving helpful to address the issue and protect SMEs from bad payers and might be a model for the EU framework..
