14 Apr UETR welcomes the vote on TEN-T revision by EP TRAN Committee
UETR welcomes the vote on the revision of the Regulation on the Trans-European Transport Network by the Transport Committee of the European Parliament.
The outcome of the vote provides support to the Green Transition as it takes into account the deployment of alternative fuels infrastructure by 2030, in synchronization with other pieces of legislation.
In light of the importance of safe and secure truck parking areas (SSTPAs) for delivering social and environmental sustainability to road hauliers and drivers, it is very positive that MEPs have widely supported shorter timelines for building SSTPAs along the TEN-T.
We trust that the above approach will be eventually validated during negotiations in trilogue.
