30 Nov UETR welcomes the new EC Q&A on driving times and rest periods
The European Commission has published its Questions and Answers on the implementation of the new driving times and rest periods as per Mobility Package I.
“We welcome this Q&A as a tool towards harmonised interpretation and implementation of EU road transport social rules. This is key to achieve an integrated road haulage internal market. With the Mobility Package I adopted in July, the first set of new rules on driving times and rest periods which came into force on 20 August had raised a number of question among UETR membership, and we .highlighted to the EC the need of clarification related to the interpretation of various provisions, in order to allow the full compliance by our companies and level playing field.” said UETR Secretary General Marco Digioia.
