31 Jul UETR intervenes in ASSIST Project
13 June 2012 – Today, the UETR Representatives intervened in the ASSIST Workshop on “Challenging Trends for European Transport Policy” held in Brussels.
The ASSIST Project, which is co-financed by the European Commission within the Seventh Framework Programme, aims to assess the social and economic impacts of past and future European policy for the sustainability of the transport sector. As result, the project will develop a Handbook that will support the impact assessments undertaken by the Commission.
During the workshop, the UETR Representatives provided an overview on how the many challenges identified by the ASSIST Project (climate change, fuel shortage, ageing, taxation, etc.) influence the road transport and how the EU Policies face these issues.
