23 Nov UETR appoints Marco Digioia as Secretary General
The European Road Haulers Association has appointed Mr. Marco Digioia as Secretary General.
Digioia holds a Master’s Degree in Law with a Specialization in European Affairs, International Relations and Diplomacy. He is a professional with 14-year experience of proactive and successful positioning and lobbying in Brussels for transport organizations.
Before taking this position, Digioia worked as Director for Government Affairs at Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Europe, responsible for representing regulatory, policy and maritime industry positions towards the EU institutions and other relevant national, European and international stakeholders. He was also member of the European Sustainable Shipping Forum.
Prior to that, he worked for several trade associations at the national and European level and was also transport expert on behalf of businesses at CEN (European Committee for Standardisation).
