15 Oct Strike of Road haulers in Portugal from 28 May
From Monday 28 May at 8:00 AM Portuguese road haulers represented by ANTP has begun strike (indefinite, until the government accepts their requests) and blockades at national level.
The road haulage sector in Portugal is facing a very difficult situation (fuel price, taxation, working and market conditions) eventually leading to the protest and action.
The claims raised by the association of transporters to the Portuguese Government include the creation of a mechanism of automatic impact of the increase of diesel in the tariffs of transport, a new regulation on access to market limiting the massive entry of new operators and the creation of a specific Secretary of State for Transport.
