14 December 2012 – UETR intervention at European conference on satellite technologies
UETR intervened at the conference on “Achieving Europe 2020: policy coordination in support of cities, regions and SMEs” on 11 December 2012 at the Committe of the Regions in Brussels.
Europe’s SMEs are key actors in the competitiveness and sustainability of the EU economy, and therefore need access to the benefits of innovation to enhance their performance and achieve the Europe 2020 goals.Many policy areas that concern local/regional authorities and companies are directly impacted on and shaped by EU policies and regulations.
Satellite services provide valuable tools for transport professional end-users to comply with and implement these policies and regulations and create sustainable, green growth.
UETR has provided its experience as sectoral end-user (digital tachograph, Intelligent Transport System).
