24 May New EC Contingency Plan for transport adopted
The European Commission has adopted its Contingency Plan for Transport.
The Plan contains a toolbox of 10 actions to guide EU Member States and the EU for taking emergency measures to support movement of goods.
With COVID and now Ukraine crisis, a plan is key to ensure coordination among MS.
“During COVID pandemic UETR called for a plan at the EU level to support the sector.. Today more than ever, we welcome this initiative but also call for binding and harmonised approach all over the EU to avoid fragmentation of measures by different countries” said UETR SG Marco Digioia.
