24 Jan Julio Villaescusa elected new UETR President
On 4 December the UETR Board of Directors has unanimously elected Mr. Julio Villaescusa, President of the Spanish Road Haulers Association FENADISMER, as new UETR President for a two-year term.
Mr. Villaescusa has stressed the fundamental principles of democracy, cooperation and engagement for the success of the defence of road transport sector in Europe. Ensuring fair competition and harmonisation across Europe will be two priority goals under his Presidency.
His election happens at a time of discussions in Brussels on the Mobility Package, impacting on SMEs activity for the decade to come. During the UETR meeting, relevant strategic aspects have been discussed and approved by the Board and the General Assembly.
