20 Feb Aerodynamic lorry cabs – agreement in Council
The Council’s Permanent Representatives Committee has confirmed the provisional agreement between the Romanian presidency and the European Parliament on amending the directive on the maximum length of lorries to bring forward the introduction of longer, aerodynamic cabs. The rounded front of the cabin will significantly cut down fuel consumption and improve safety.
“This is an important step to allow transport companies to perform on fuel economy, with less emissions and more savings” said UETR Secretary General Marco Digioia.
