11 Dec UETR intervening at SOLUTRANS 2025 Plenary Session
UETR Secretary General Marco Digioia intervened at the Plenary Session of SOLUTRANS 2025 in Lyon, highlighting the need for a pragmatic and cooperative approach to the green and digital transition of road transport. Ensuring fair competition, effective enforcement of social legislation and responsible subcontracting remain central priorities for Europe’s transport SMEs.
UETR stressed that the sector faces multiple challenges—from driver shortages to rising energy costs and infrastructure gaps—that require joint action across the entire supply chain. UETR reaffirmed that a resilient, sustainable and transparent logistics chain can only be achieved through collaboration between industry actors and EU institutions, grounded in realism and an inclusive, fair transition.
SOLUTRANS is Europe’s leading trade show dedicated to innovation and information on solutions tailored to the evolving commercial vehicle industry. This year’s edition gathered more than 64,000 professional admissions.
